Fanhaven uses Stripe Connect to handle payment processing and payouts. Card payments collected through the POS and online store flow through Stripe, and payouts are sent to your connected bank accounts on a regular schedule.
How payouts work
Card payments are processed through Stripe at the point of sale or online checkout.
Stripe holds funds for a standard settlement period (typically 2 business days for US accounts).
Settled funds are automatically transferred to your connected bank account based on your payout schedule.
Viewing payouts
Navigate to Finance → Payouts in the dashboard to see:
- Available balance — Funds ready to be paid out
- Pending balance — Funds still in the settlement period
- Payout history — A list of all past payouts with dates and amounts
- Payout schedule — How frequently payouts are sent
Payout details
Each payout entry shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|
| Payout ID | Stripe payout identifier |
| Amount | Total payout amount |
| Status | Pending, in transit, paid, or failed |
| Arrival date | Expected or actual date the funds hit your bank |
| Bank account | Which account received the payout |
Stripe Connect setup
Your Stripe account is connected at the tour level, which means:
- Each tour can have its own Stripe account (useful for different entities or accounting needs)
- Stripe handles regional payment processing automatically
- Fanhaven can provision accounts for different regions as needed
Connecting your account
- Go to POS → Settings or Finance → Payouts
- Click Connect Stripe Account
- Follow the Stripe onboarding flow to link your bank account
- Once verified, you’re ready to accept payments
External accounts
You can add multiple bank accounts to your Stripe Connect account and choose which one receives payouts.
Manual payouts
In addition to automatic scheduled payouts, you can trigger a manual payout at any time:
- Go to Finance → Payouts
- Click Create Payout
- Enter the amount (up to your available balance)
- Confirm and the payout is initiated
Manual payouts are useful when you need funds transferred outside the normal schedule — for example, to cover an expense or settle with a venue quickly.
Event-level payouts
For events with venue payment splits, Fanhaven can route the venue’s share directly to their own Stripe account. This is configured per-event in the event settings.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|
| Payout failed | Check that your bank account details are correct in Stripe |
| Funds on hold | Stripe may hold funds for new accounts or unusual activity — check your Stripe dashboard |
| Missing transactions | Verify the payment was processed (check Transactions page) |
| Balance discrepancy | Account for refunds, fees, and splits that reduce the payout amount |
