The Referral Program turns your existing fans into ambassadors. When a fan refers someone new, both the referrer and the new fan can earn rewards.

How referrals work

1
Fan gets a referral code
2
Every fan with a Fanpass automatically gets a unique referral code they can share.
3
New fan signs up
4
When someone uses a referral code to sign up for the artist’s Fanpass, the system tracks the connection.
5
Both fans earn rewards
6
Based on your configuration, both the existing fan (referrer) and the new fan can receive rewards like discounts or free items.

Setting up referrals

Navigate to Fanpass → Referrals in the dashboard to configure your referral program.

Tracking referrals

The Referrals page in the dashboard shows:
  • Total referrals — How many fans have been referred
  • Top referrers — Your most active fan ambassadors
  • Conversion rate — What percentage of shared codes result in sign-ups
  • Reward distribution — How many rewards have been claimed
Highlight your top referrers — they’re your most engaged fans and could be great candidates for street team or ambassador programs.

Best practices

  • Make the reward compelling — Fans need a reason to share. A meaningful discount or exclusive item works better than a small percentage off.
  • Make sharing easy — The Fanpass page includes built-in share functionality, but also promote the referral program on social media and at shows.
  • Celebrate referrers — Consider featuring or rewarding top referrers to create a sense of community and competition.
